Ok everyone, who's getting ready for the start of the Archery Deer season starting the 1st and what unit do you plan on going to? I redid my strings about a month ago and just put a new D-loop last night, now I'm waiting on my new Slick Tricks to come in. I will probably go to unit 21 first then try unit 5bn.

I'm ready...bow's tuned, groups are tight. Might have to do like you did and throw a new loop on there, but I'll do that just before I head out as part of final tuning.
I'll be leaving the Thursday before for unit 6A and staying the week.

Just had some work done on my bow and got some arrows today at the Corner Archery shop on Northern - seemed to know what they were doing. (I know a lot more about guns than bows) I am going up on Thursday also to 6A

I am not to sure if I am going to get out after deer during the archery hunt or not but I do have a rifle Coues deer tag for November. I have an archery elk tag in New Mexico so I am going to be going over there a few times to scout. I might get out and look for a bear though.

Looks like 6A is the place! I have a late cow tag there, so Im going to drag the bow around and check out the ladies. The bow is tuned, arrows built, and the operator is so so.

Any of you 6A guys grabbing an OTC turkey tag for just in case?

are there any turkeys in 5bn? If there is I might try for them if I fill my elk tag first.

Yep, according to G&F there is a pretty good population there...

Check your regs for dates. Archery turkey ends as elk starts in most units. It runs at the same time as archery deer, so it makes sense to have it for the deer hunts.
5B south for me...lots of Doe's but very few Bucks........maybe i'll get lucky this year
