Where can I go to empty my tanks without driving way out of my way. I am at 79th ave and Bethany Home Rd. Anyone know of a place close by where I can do that?

There use to be a Giant Gas station just North of Glendale on 35 Avenue. (Free)

There is an RV place on Grand around Bethany that has a pay to dump area. (Used to be $10)

I would but that won't work to good at my house. The clean out is up by my front door. I can't get close to it and the drive way is real steep so if I try to park the motor home to do that it slopes down hill the wrong way so the tanks won't empty out good. Here is a pic of my house.

My friend (a plumber) ran a separate line next to his carport just for draining. He dug down next to a cleanout and tapped into it and then ran it over.

I bought two lengths of PVC drain pipe. Added a 90 deg. elbow. This set up will let me drain at home if I don't stop somewhere on the way home.

Thanks for the link reminder Chris. I will probably use one of the stops in Gila Bend unless its too busy.

I have a similar issue that my the closest I could get to my clean out put the trailer at a lower level, stuff just doesn't flow up hill. Camping world to the rescue. I have a pump that attaches to the trailer drain pipe, hook a garden hose to the pump and the other end in the clean up. The pump is 12v. Open the valves, hit the switch and it chops everything and pushes it through a 5/8" garden hose. Pretty cool. Never had it clog and it's real quick to suck everything out of the tanks. Also, there's another spot to hook a garden hose to so you can flush out the tanks without having to run a hose inside.

Don't remember how much I paid for it, but at the time it seemed a lot cheeper than the prospect of digging up the yard to add another drain into the septic.

is this it and would it work going up hill?

I have to say that the sewer solution is a pretty ingenious idea. I wish it werent a 100 bucks though:(

the one I have is the 2nd more expensive one. My Clean out is about 2 feet higher than where I park the trailer so it pumps slightly up hill. I've had it for 1 1/2 years and use it at least once a month.

MXW - Those are pretty cool ! If my set up does not work out I may go that route. Its amazing that it can really puree everything up where it goes through the garden hose...
So those units also flush the tank out ? You don't use the hose & water from the inside through the stool to flush the tank ?

Thanks for the links to CW.

So far it's worked great. Attaches to the normal drain on the trailer and has 2 garden hose connections. One on the bottom and one on the side. The bottom is for what comes out and the top is to hook up to the fresh water hose. The thing looks like a blender on steriods. We use the same toilet paper as the house, not the stuff they recommend for RV septics and it chops it all up, along with whatever else might be in there. Once you drain the black and grey tanks just turn on the freshwater and the water goes into the tanks from the drain pipe. then you just have to turn the pump on again to get all the water out.

Sounds like a pretty neat contraption~ it's a stink blender [:0]

Thanks for the info.
