Fistfull is right. Pick a spot, park your truck & take off. It's all good.

Is being asymmetrical really so bad?

I agree with Fistfull (bet he hasn't heard that very often) for riding, all of the dunes are good. There are places that are better if you are looking for a family, not so crazy area then Buttercup/Midway is great. If you are looking for more action, drag races, expensive cars and highy modified hill shooters, then Glamis is probably your place. Gordons is a perfect mix of both..right in the middle.

These are only my opinion so please don't stomp all over me if they don't agree with your opinion.
Buttercup - I've never been there but I would like to. Looks cool shooting the hill right outside camp.
Gordon's Well - There aren't a lot of good lines. There is one really good bowl run between the camp ground and Test Hill. Patton Hill (remember this is only my opinion) is not a big deal. There is quite a bit of vegetation at the bottom and it's kind of short. Been there once...that was enough.
Glamis - Most of the people on this forum don't go to Glamis because they presume it's a bunch of crazies. Glamis has the largest available area for riding and unless you're looking for crazies, it's not any different that the other areas. In fact, all the crazies hang out in a couple spots and the rest is empty. There are more bowls and hills than you have fuel for. Make a run from China Wall, Lizard Hill, Brawley Slide into the awesome bowls behind Olds all the way to Comp, then it's time for a BBQ beef sandwich at Hog Heaven on Vendor's Row. Man...I can't wait until T-Day.
Everyone has their own opinion on "best". That was mine.
Have a safe trip and remember, don't go straight over the top of a dune. Turn left or right at the peak and take a look over the other side. Keep enough speed that you can ride the ridge until you decided to continue or turn back.

I think the best riding is south of Glamis between Gordon's Well and Olgiby Camp but any dune riding is great.

I can't really say. I am one of the "crazies" that goes to glamis.
With the amount of Rangers available the level of idiocy has dramatically reduced.
But there is too much dunage around and behind the big hills to explore in one tank of fuel(4 strokes included).
But I am partial to the area around Olds. Especially on "off" weekends

Thanks for the lack of help people. I get what your're saying, get out and ride them all and make my own choice on which one place is best for me. Thanks for the input.
