Does anyone use paddle tires on their RUV at the dunes?

Do they help? Is it worse?

What size?

Front tires. Anyone fab up a set of Razors for the front?

OR

Is airing down the knobbies enough?

I don't have a RUV but I have seen them in the dunes with GBC Paddle Masters 25in. on the front and rear.

I run my Prowler at the dunes with the stock tires aired down to 5-8 psi. It does really well and has gone anywhere I wanted to go. The feedback on paddles is mixed on other sites (Like Glamisdunes), some prefer paddles, but the majority run without them.

Those Paddle Masters are Monsters! Last paddles you'll ever buy. I friend bought them for his quad, he hated them, too heavy. But for a Rhino, maybe so?

One of our dune rider uses them on the rear of his Kawi 650 Prairie. They seem to work.

If money isnt the issue, call skat-trak direct and just order the paddles. My father runs 25" haulers on his prairie

I didn't know haulers made them that big. They would have to be a lot lighter that Paddle Masters.

They were on a 400EX, a Prairie seems like a much better application.

I've talked with Scat-Trak before, for a price they will shave and attach paddles to any tire. At the time I was looking for kid quad tires and they couldn't fit a tire smaller than 18-inches into their lathe. 25-inch tires should be no problem as they do those HUGE top-fuel sand drag tires.

We just got back from the dunes with 2 newbies on Rhinos. They did fine on stock tires after we let a little air out(5-7 psi). They even made it to the top of Olds.
