I've been looking at this site: www.utvrally.com. Seems some guys are setting up a RUV rally in Moab, UT the first week of June. Sounds like there is going to be some good riding up there. Don't have any info on costs yet. Will see how it progresses.

Hello,

Here's a quick update in case you haven't had a chance to visit the forum lately:

1) Moab, UT - If you haven't been, you'll wish you stayed longer
2) June 7-10th, 2007 are the dates, arrive on or before the 6th
3) Archview Resort - It's going to book fast with over 15 UTV's & 25 people already registered
4) Our Title Sponsors are Side x Side Action & Cartwheelin' Magazine

So, in order to open up registration as soon as possible, I'd like to know what events you'd like to see at the Rally. So, if you have a moment, please go here to vote: http://www.utvrally.com/viewtopic.php?t=4

Pick your first choice, then reply with your second and third within the thread if you have one. Thanks again for your comments!

Ok, folks, the events(in addition to organized trail rides of course) will be as follows:

1) Geo Cache
2) Poker Run
3) Tug of War

I should have the online registration completed by this week. Stay tuned!

I wonder how they will get the UTVs from the campground to the trails??? Utah doesn't allow street legal ATVs.

I want to go to Moab for a ATV trip, taking the RV and staying at Archview RV park, but I have to figure out how to get the ATV to the various trailheads.

The Archview has direct access to trails. Leaving right from there. They are also trying to set an area up so you can leave your utv there if you are camped somewhere else. We are going this year to the rally should be a lot of fun.

Tim, The way I read the posts on their site, they are discourging ATVs except when part of a registration where a UTV is involved. Good excuse for you to get a Rhino! Jack

I just spent $10,000 on my 800 Outlander Max XT. [:0]

I read that on their web site as well. :( I guess its OK to be prejudice against us quad riders.[:p] At least you and Kahala let me ride with you once.;)[:p]:D

I'm thinking of a late April/early May Moab trip and I'm trying to figure out how to get to the various trails around Moab while keeping the motorhome parked.

Which trails can be directly accessed from Archview???

Tim, I'm not familiar with the Moab area but early in the UTVRally posts they mentioned a couple of guide books that would have that info. I understand it's no problem getting to good trails from Archview RV Park. Jack

Hey folks,

I know I've said this before, but it's very important that if you intend to be at the Rally that you get your reservations setup at Archview Resort or Moab Valley RV Resort. The PRCA Rodeo is in town the same weekend, and I just got a message from one of our sponsors that the hotel rooms are few and far between. http://www.discovermoab.com/calendar.htm

If you're bringing an RV or plan to tent camp, call Archview @ 800-813-6622 and leave a message for Kate indicating what you need, what date's you're planning to be there, and your contact information so she can call you back to confirm.

All of the cabins at Archview are already booked, so if you'd like a cabin, please call Jessica @ Moab Valley RV Resort at 435-259-4469. And, if when you call Archview the RV spots are booked, call Jessica for those as well. Here's a link to the campground information: http://www.utvrally.com/viewtopic.php?t=63 and here's the event registration page: http://www.utvrally.com/viewtopic.php?t=101

I thought we would just take a limb off of your money tree and buy the whole town![:p] Then we won't have to worry where we will stay.
But seriously, we have some planning to do and we need to get all the kinks out of the toy's before we go. So, how about a gift of 10 to 15 grand to help a brother out.:DBIG BANK HANK [:0]

Hello everyone,

This past week has been very hectic, in a good way. We've had some serious additions to our quickly growing list of sponsors, such as:

Yamaha
ATV Television
ATV Illustrated Television
Legend Air Suspension
Seizmik (aka Kart Accessories)
Elka Suspension
Bikeman Performance
Ramsey Winch
Pro Armor
PCI Radios
Vector Manufacturing
Rock Hard ATV
Cliffhanger Rentals
Acro Lights
Arizona Sports Center

This puts us at 3 television shows with over 55 million viewers, not to mention the latest issues in Cartwheelin', Side x Side Action, and Toy Hauler Magazine's full page ads. On top of that, Seizmik and Elka Suspension were nice enough to put some posters up at their booths at the Dealer Expo this past weekend.

We're expecting this to be the largest, highest profile UTV specific event in 2007. Next year, we're planning to do 3-4 events nationwide, so if this year's timing or location doesn't fit well with your schedule, come join us anyway so we can get your input on next year's locations.

Please keep in mind that registration ends on April 30th, and cabins and rv spots are booking up fast. It's going to be a lot of fun, and we hope you can join us. If you have any questions about the Rally, please don't hesitate to email us at chris@utvrally.com

I just wanted to let everyone know that event registration ends on April 30th, so we can have enough time to get the shirts, food, and supplies lined up for the event. I don't mind if everyone signs up on April 30th, but keep in mind there will be no registrations accepted after this date or at the event. But, if it was me, I'd wait to last minute as well. :)

But, if you’re ready to register, please go here: http://www.utvrally.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57

There's approximately $20K of prizes being given away so far, which you can check out here: http://www.utvrally.com/forum/showthread.php?t=94

I have also scrubbed this thread to remove any mention of sponsors or anything advertising'ish. The thread went way past being informational and was basically free advertising for many sponsors downstream of the ralley itself. Riding Arizona supports our sport and this event but we must protect our paying site sponsors interest.
