I am curious if any other prowler owners have the issue I have. After my Prowler sits a while it's hard to get started. After it starts it's fine but when it sits in the garage a while and it comes time to start it again it has to crank alot before starting. I looked at the accelerator pump and it does not move like on most carburated ATV's. In fact I don't see anything that would enguage it unless it is vacuum? the throttle does not seem to be linked to it. Just curious if anyone has this issue.

Mine seems to do that as well after sitting for a month.

Mine does it, but only after sitting for 2-3 weeks or so. Other than that starts pretty quickly.

Its the fuel pump. It tends to bleed the fuel back twards the tank so it takes a bit to draw fuel back to carb. There is a aftermarket low presssure fuel pump to ad on and it helps this problem. Only problem is it's 135 bucks. It work off you key power. Everythingoffroad.com has them. I've been thinking of doing it for those real cold days when I'm hunting.

Mine is the same after sitting. I just put the trans in neutral and give it a little gas while cranking & it primes much faster. My KFX is exactly the same with its vacuum petcock valve. Most of the 4 stroke engines are simular. Some have the accelerator pump that a couple pumps of the throttle primes them - it they dont have the vacuum petcock valves.
