View Full Version : Finally, GOT RHINO !!!!
I just picked up a 2007 Rhino 660 (RED). Got it at Four Seasons Motorsports in Rye. Dealt with Don and Tanner, couldn't ask for a more pleasent buying expierence, everything was done over the phone Monday morning and went to get it after work today. Thanks to my Private Investigater/internet guru, Paula(3PolarisBears), for finding me the lowest price to be had in this market. Paid $10,299 OTD. Pictures to follow. Rich

Indeed! Congrats man, you won't be dissappointed on the purchase.:D
Rich, check with Renegade seats here in Phoenix. I think they are over on Washington. They had some good pricing at the sand show and offer quite a few options on their seats.

OK, now you have something that can drive through more than 6 inches of water without getting stuck [:p]:D
Bill, That hurt!![:I] I did get new tires for the DS after that:D. Steve, Thanks for the Renegade reccomendation. I just bought a Renegade rear seat and mount from Jagged Extreme www.jaggedx.com, and then while walking out the door I saw these wheels and tires and bought a set of them also.:D, and then while checking out another shop I found this neat rear cage and cooler rack, well I bought that too:D, got it from Jason at www.rigidindustries.com (great guy). I think the cheapest thing I bought was the Yamaha half windshield. Did someone say I was going to spend money on this thing!! Rich

Now you just need a long travel suspension kit, a super charger, double batteries, tunes, front and rear winches, and a row of HID lights [8D]
Oh yeah! I'm thinking of going that direction :D.

Ahhhhh yes another money pit! You will love it.
If speed is your need and money isnt too plentiful the two mods I recommend are a CDI box and a new clutch sheave. The CDI is simple to install - plug n' play. The new clutch cheave can be a total pain in the arse, but a little patience and an impact wrench are necessary when doing this install! If you need help (that goes for anyone) with the sheave instal, drop me a private message and I can give you the advice the stores will not. Don't be frightened by them telling you there are special tools needed - the only thing you MUST have is an impact wrench. With these two mods, an air filter and exhaust tip - our Rhino now does 59 MPH clocked by both GPS and the digital dash!
YEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWW!
Silverrhino, I just bought a Dynatek CDI and dropped off my clutch sheave today to be reworked. Once I get it back together I going to have the carb rejetted and modified to accept the new air filter/RAIS tube and exhaust end cap. Rich

Rich, sorry for not getting back sooner. Be REALLY carefull when reinstalling the clutch! You can really mess it up. I think you will like what it does, especially if top end is what you need. I am also looking in to a new primary spring that should give it the much needed torque off the line and through the hills. Oh Yeah - make sure (if you have not already installed the sheave) that the o-rings are in there. I reinstalled mine without them and had to take it apart AGAIN to put them back in.
One really cool thing for eveyone to know that plan on clutch work is that you can expand the primary side without the use of a prybar like many shops tell you to do - AND it will NOT damage the smooth surfaces, especially on the primary side that needs to have room to put the belt back on. There are two small screw holes on the primary (front), if you use two of the 10mm bolts you removed from the cover, screw them in evenly to the holes on the front or primary - it will expand the primary so that you can put the belt back on with far more ease than trying to stretch or spin it on.
Again, if anyone needs help with this install PLEASE let me know. I am sure my explaining in person will help more than me trying to write it!
Be safe and have fun.
Silverrhino, I love what the clutch has done. I had mine machines by Dennis Shotwell of AZBadBoys(the HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED Polaris mechanic), who works out of the ArizonaSportsCecnter shop in Glenndale. Reinstalling it was apiece of cake. The only "O" ring I remember seeing during the tear down and re install was on the sheave cover. Which ones are you talking about ??? Sometime during the next week or so I going to have carb slide/jet kit installed(by Dennis also) and was told this little mod will put a smile from ear to ear on my face. Rich
