The Bradshaw Foothills Coalition, a diverse group with interests in desert recreation generally north of Lake Pleasant, will be conducting a “welcome weekend” and sign posting at Lake Pleasant Regional Park on Saturday, February 10, 2007, starting at 8AM. Participants will be erecting signs identifying the Park’s irregular boundaries at about 30 locations where off highway vehicle (OHV) use is a concern, both on roads and other entry points to the Park, including trails and washes. Volunteers are needed and are welcome to contact Joe Hull at 602-430-8770 for more information.

Directions: on the Carefree-Morristown Highway at milepost 19 (State Route 74), proceed north from the eastern terminus of Castle Hot Springs Road 6.2 miles to a stop sign. Turn left, and the road soon becomes dirt. Meet about 1 mile north of the end of the pavement on the right side of the road.

The Park boundaries are unmarked, unclear on purpose, I've seen a few signs, far and few between. The Leo's would rather get you in a heated argument, arrest you, confiscate your OHV, run up high impound fees, where you can't get it back without paying through the ying yang. Auction your OHV off to the highest bidder, this happens. I hope these signs stay up and don't get vandalized like the Rolls area. The truth hurts, somebody's got to tell it. If you're a young kid your more at risk than an old fart with a utitlity quad, PROFILING.

Thanks for the information dano99. Welcome, glad to see you over here as well.

It is refreshing to have someone put up a constructive thread to help the OHV community. I know you have been an excellent ambassador for the sport.
