Alright Jack, here's mine..........most of us are so tired that they should be sleeping now after the drive and insane week out there....but I am stuck at work!
Eric(chairforce)and Jessica and I made it out to Glamis vendor flats at around 3pm on Monday afternoon to save a spot for the got huevos stand. at that time, there were already more vendors than i had ever seen already setup.
We got a good ride in on Tuesday morning that took us through alot of the north dunes......I was basically pointing out landmarks and so on for eric and jessica since they had never ridden around there before. Most of our group started showing up on Wednesday afternoon and the bikes didn't even go out much after that. instead, handgrips were traded for drinks and good food all week. On Thursday, we deep fried the turkey and had some of the guys from my work out for dinner, which turned out awesome.....our logistics on cooking and having everything ready at the right time could have been better, but we'll get it right next year.
BLM rangers had olds hill shut down to trucks friday and saturday night, so we just stayed back at camp and watched the wildlife cruising through the flats since i am lazy and don't even want to put on riding gear and ride for 3 cold miles to sit there!! the sand drags were quite a sight as always, just bigger and bigger. The 4wd in my truck went out (soleniod in the front axle) so i was in 2wd for the next 2 days when we carted people around.....i only managed to get stuck one time........jeanella was in their new dune toy, a little suzuki samari....she hooked up to me and got me out after a couple of yanks..........but i didn't stop in time, and played monster truck on her new toy...........the damage to both were minimal since my tire did most of the hurt to the samari....we were able to fix it all up in about an hour the next morning. needless to say, between that and my 4wd and food, cigarettes(6.00 a pack out there after we ran out) this was an expensive week for me!! I even met a dune chick out there from tucson, so we'll see how that works out. thanx for being my parents stacy, j, old navy, eric and jess!!! when little nick gets women, they have to be approved by my dune family!!! aside from being sick for a couple of days out there, i don't think i went more than 15 minutes without laughing.........it was a very good time for all i think.

i was only able to spend a couple days in the dunes,
Got out to Gordons Well on Wednesday morning, given this was my first trip to the dunes on my new bike(YZ450F) i picked up a 10paddle SkatTrak for it, and OMG it hooked up better then a knobby
i loved it, my best friend was out there riding with me on his 04 CRF450 with a 10paddle chenshin, he also had a blast,
didnt lay the bike over at all, had sum fun racing up Test Hill, and Duning on the bike is SOOOO much cooler for me then a quad
other then that im plannin on head out to Gordons again this Wednesday, and the following Tuesday, for day trips, just sumthing to do

Ksand and the family camped at Ogilby Camp and rode all day Friday, Friday night, and Saturday. The wind blew Thursday night and the sand was awesome on Friday...despite all of the people. We did an awesome night ride Friday night across the dunes to Test Hill and watched the mayhem there for a while. On Saturday we had a lot of fun as well even thought the wind had stopped blowing and the sand was pretty chopped up from the Thanksgiving crowds. I ran into a couple of other RA members (Stuart and Tim) down there and got to ride with them for the first time. We always seem to camp in the same basic spots so I'm sure that we'll hook up in the future for more exciting riding.

My brother went and came back another person. He has not stopped talking to me on how great the dunes were. It was his first time. I'm yet to go. After hearing the hours of stories I think the dunes will be my next vacation spot.

Our group camped south of the Olgiby tower in the flats north of I-8. We rode all of the southend of the dunes from "Test Hill" to "Patton Valley". Only one wreck from our group this weekend, a Raptor nosedived over a small crest flipping over on the rider. He ended up with some large bruises. Other than that it was a great weekend. It did get a little wild at "Test Hill" on Saturday night.

We stayed at Olgilby / Patton Valley just west of the tower. We rode part of the day Thursday, due to the fact of Thanksgiving cooking. Friday we had a good 3 hour ride in Friday from Patton over to Gordons Well. We did about the same on Saturday. Sunday packed up, and came home early.

We camped at Buttercup right off the Gray's Well's Turnoff from Friday to Sunday. As I mentioned in my previous post I was more than concerned about going out there over Tday weekend (this was my second dunes trip). Well, much to my surprise Buttercup was really pretty mellow. I would say the riding was actually less crowded and the dunes less cut up over the weekend than Glamis was 2 weeks ago.
Saturday we rode over to I believe Gordon's Wells for the sand drags (aka Crazy Parade!). Other than having to ride across the paved overpass the sand drags were well worth the drive. Man, those sand drags really are a sight to behold!
Our trip was more than great and I can't wait to get back out to the dunes!!
