View Full Version : Rhino full cage prices ?
What kind of prices have you paid for putting a full cage on a rhino?
I have been searching the pictures of most of the local company websites that I can find. I found one that I like but they are quoting $1900 for the cage powder coated black and $330 for the cooler rack. Grab handles in quantites of 3 for $150.
They say they are currently not carrying the bimini tops.
These prices seem high to me. I have seen others prices around $1100-$1500 for the cages and about $130-$150 for the cooler rack.
We are not planning on adding rear seats. So, we don't need the extra grab handles. I replied to the company to ask them about their cost late friday and hope to hear back on monday.
The next step would be to get quotes from other companies for a style similar to what we want.
might not be as attractive, but make your own grab handles. Rope, pvc tubing and some duct tape, to make the grab handle less slippery.:D:D:D;)
Try http://www.everythingoffroad.com/ They have some great package deals and their cages are really nice looking. Ask for Kyle he really seems to know what he is talking about.;)

Call Dave @ www.inducedfabrication.com
I believe his 4 seat cage is around 1200 and I think that includes cooler rack! He also makes a nice 2 seater cage (which I have) that has a cooler rack as well. He can do 2 seat, 4 seat, aluminum cages, you name it. Tell him Dave sent you, and to give you a discount!!!!!

why get a full cage if your not adding seats.. why put more weight on your rhino . if i was not adding seats i will just renforce the stock cage add 2 bars coming from the top to the bed v style to hold spare.
Go to www.yamaharhinos.net and click on the "links" tab and you'll have tons websites of companys that make everything for the Rhino. Rich
Thanks for your input so far. I did look at everything offroad and induced fabrication's websites previously. I was already thinking of contacting everything offroad and desert toys to see what the cost would be to modify their cage style, but I haven't yet. I will add induced to the list.
I emailed jaggedx and got a response back from them. They are the ones that did our leg minders. But I still have not received an email reply back from the place that quoted $1900 for the cage itself, which was todd's custom billet.
I will check out some of the links on yamaharhinos.net site.
We want a full cage even without the rear seats because we take our two dogs with us sometimes. The extended top will help provide a little bit extra shade for them and the cooler rack will give them more room in the bed area.
The additional item that we are looking for is some way to increase the height of the bed sides for the dogs. I saw a picture once of what somebody else did for their dogs and I was going to research something similar. Then I saw a cage that had bars across the back sides of the bed raised up approx. 6-12 inches. I thought that could be an alternative.
Here is a link to the one I was looking at:
http://www.toddscustombillet.com/rhinocage.htm
Click on the first picture in the upper left corner. It is the cage on the green rhino.
But since todd’s custom billet seems to be the highest price so far, I will continue looking more into getting quotes to modify other cage styles to be similar to what we are looking for.

lol. :) Sometimes driving with my husband a solid one is necessary. :D
If you PM or e-mail me with some contact information, I have a freind who has a RINO cage and a rear seat he is selling as a package.
At least he had it last week. If he still has it I can get you in touch with him. He is on the NW side so you should be able to get together to look at it.

I have a friend that has a fabrication business for rhinos and such. I'll bet he can build you anything you want and smoke you a deal as well. Call Eric Richards at 480-220-1680 his company is called E-FAB
www.metaltechproducts.com is the company that built my half cage, that bolts in to esisting holes(and on to the OEM cage) once you remove the top upper reargrab cross bar. I also got mine with the cooler rack(third one down left side, on the Rhino cage page), it will allow the bed to flip for access with the removal of 4 bolts. It cost $750(+powder coating), I'm sure he can add a couple of horizontal bars for your dogs protection. Rich

You should really call Dave at Induced Fabrication. He can do pretty much any style you want or modify his cage to how you want. He really likes doing custom stuff, and doesn't rake you over the coals! He is also doing Aluminum cages now like what Todds Custom Billet does, but a more traditional 4-seater style (better looking in my opinion) and alot cheaper as well! He is very good with aluminum, as he also builds Wakeboard Towers!
Just make sure you tell him Dave sent you!

Thanks but we are not needing the seat package.
Thanks again for the info. I will work on contacting others this month. I am working via email right now to help sort out the pricing with the companies and have it documented. Plus most of these places are open mon-fri between 8am-6pm only and are not open weekends. It is not very easy for us to research from work. Once we narrow it down to where we might want to get it done then we can work out going down to them.
avcrz,
I just checked with him, he still has it, he is asking $750 for the cage, soft top, flag holder, and rear seat. It's used but in good condition. That's a lot cheaper than getting a new one.
Shout if you're interested.

I have been seeing a lot of custom cages for rhino's on craigslist under the rv and motorcycle sections, some as low as $850. I also saw a rear spare tire rack like those on SUV's for $150. Think I will buy that one. Holds a spare tire, cooler, and has a mount for you license plate. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/

Thats good to know, thanks.
My husband and I were discussing the design we were looking for a little bit more. We are not sure we still want to go with the side bars for the dogs or not vs finding something else or doing nothing on the sides at all.

I have been working on a few emails. I hope to have some numbers finalized this week. Everyone has been replying to my emails in a timely manner except everything offroad. I emailed them tuesday 2/13, I received a read receipt that same morning but I still have not received an email reply. I sent one more email following up today since it has been one week.
I would call them, and ask for there technical support people. I had a question reguarding some Crow harnesses I bought there and got a call back within 15 minutes. Rich
They got back to me yesterday.

What does the ttmw stand for?
I just wanted to throw my opinions in. The TCB cage is a great product, but yes it is expensive. The biggest pro to this cage it the weight as it is all aluminum. A full cage is only a couple of lbs over the stock cage. The con for this cage is that it is made from 2" tube. That means you are limited in bolt on items for the cage as most steel cages are 1-3/4", some even 1-1/2". TCB does make plenty of 2" billet parts for thier cages, but not many others do. I have been looking for a cage for quite some time and have noticed that a lot of places are backordered on all Rhino parts. I do know that Jagged X has them in stock, and will add any custom parts you want.
The biggest thing I have found in looking for rhino parts, is that they are all priced very close together for similar products, so I would shop wherever you get the best customer service.
Thanks for your opinions. It is nice to have great sites like this one to be able to research info on and talk with other people with similar interest. We have not done anything yet. I would like to get it done in march or april if possible. We have not decided on who to go with yet.
What does ttmw stand for in one of the previous post?
Check out Jim over at Arizona Sports Center. www.ShopASC.com His prices blow away EverythingOffroad. FYI - EverythingOffroad who used to only sell dashmats and chrome bumpers used to rent an office from Arizona Sports Center and then opened up in Peoria selling the same products Jim at ASC does.[xx(] I have bought alot of products from Jim and his prices are fair and the customer service is even better.
I picked up a new cage and front bumper from TCB today. I have the add on 4 seat cage connected to the stock cage and liked it, but I really like the weight of the new aluminum cage. I added Fabtech long travel which raised the Rhino 3" over stock, and it would not fit in my toy hauler any more. The TCB cage is 3" lower than stock, perfect. Those TCB cages look great also.
Here is the old cage, I'll post the new one as soom as I install it.

Thanks again to everyone for your input. We really appreciate it.
We ordered everything we wanted yesterday thru everything off-road. The eta is 2-3 weeks. We will keep you posted on how things turn out in the end.
I just got the call today that everything is in and ready for the install. Just need to drop it off now.

Just got a new cage and all new seats (front buckets and rear bench)...now I need harnesses...any help would be appreciated. I would like 5 point for the rear and 4 or 5 point for the fronts...just don't know where to bolt the submarine belt in the front if I got the 5 point. I would like the type that wrap around the cage bar behind the seat. I could bolt it to the cage but would prefer to wrap around. Thanks in advance for any info.

Exactly right on the cage and yes it's awesome. Aside from being very strong structurally, I think it's one of the best looking cages out there.
Wow, your rhino looks really good. Ours still looks plain compared to yours. We hope to get camo and tan front seats sometime in the future to match ours.
We dropped ours off on monday for the install and picked it back up tuesday. We really like the way it came out and we are glad we got it all done in one place. I finally uploaded some pics we took. I want to take better ones the next time we go out. They did not come out very good and the rhino was a little dirty. Here is the link to the pics, the first one is a before pic and the rest are after.

I had met Eric when I first moved out. I went down his place to check out his buggy build. It's been a while and wanted to BS and see how his progress is going. I have the *1680 # and his email, but neither seem to work at this point.
