View Full Version : Manx Dune Buggy-OFF THE MARKET
This is an original Manx body on a 1972 VW pan with a 1963 102hp Super Turbo Air Corvair engine. It is titled as a 1972 and has been smogged and has registration (3/08)( I have let the registration lapse due to time constraints for enjoying it ). The right bank of the engine has recently been rebuilt and a new exhaust and Hi-Po starter on. The engine runs very strong and uses no oil. The tranny is a manual 4-speed. It has drum brakes on all 4 corners that have been recently gone through. It also has independant steering brakes for the rear. The tires are streets and are 95% tread life. I would like to keep this but I need the garage space and don't want to park it outside so something has to go and the buggy is it.
Thanks for looking

That's beautiful - that's what I was looking for but couldn't find so bought a golf cart instead. Wish I had the money for this. BUMP.
Thanks Neufam. It is a fun little car. I hate to sell it, especially since it's a real Manx but I just ran out of room so I need to part with something. Worst case, if it doesn't sell I'll have to just keep my truck parked behind the RV gate.

Worst case - if you don't sell it, someone on RA will gladly store for you in exchange for driving rights. ;)

I think you're selling yourself short on that one.. Those Meyer Manx's are selling for way more then that. You need to post that thing on Craigslist in LA or San Diego. You should be able to get 6-8K for that
How wide is it? What does it weigh?

It's only as wide as a VW and not sure on the wieght. I'de guess about 1200-1300 lbs. It's light and quick.
Ya, from what I've seen mine is under priced but I just don't use it or have the room. If it doesn't sell I'll just sit on it and maybe find time to drive it or keep it for when the kids get older.

I appreciate the interest and I would be interested in the YZ and cash but I don't need 2 bikes.
Also, Please note that I have edited the add. I have not been driving the buggy so I decided to let the registration lapse for now. Once I get more free time to do something other than work, I plan on getting it re-registered.
