Best In The Desert Tonopah 300 was held last weekend. Atleast two quad teams from AZ raced in the Expert class.
Shiloh Strunk, Shane Strunk and Skyler Stewart had problems after Shane broke an axle on the #47 Raptor. From what I understand, Shane is ok.
The news was even worse for the #42 DS650 Baja ridden by Lynn Prosser, Byron Seed and Frank Zeiter. Frank hit a nasty G-out at top speed and nosed into the upside. Frank was thrown over the bars, breaking his femur up near the hip. He also severely bruised his other leg and some ribs. The quad was trashed. Frank was air-lifed to Reno for emergency surgery and now has a steel rod inside his femur. Hopefully he'll be flying home this weekend. I talked to him on the phone a few days ago and he says he's done racing quads, but pretty sure he'll eventually be moving into a car or truck.

That's terrible news about Frank. Those upper Femor breaks are very dangerous.

Did you race?

Did you race?

No but I will be racing the BITD Baja MEX 300 next month in Ensenada. Supposed to be 170 miles of "never raced on" trails. It's Best In The Desert's first venture into Mexico. Fish Tacos and DosXXs!! <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle> We've got rooms with the Johnson Motorsports guys who should be racing their new Roll Design Z400. I should be bringing some great pics back. Now if I could just get this slide scanner fixed.
