Thanks for the pictures. I looks like a rhinofest.

With that track being so big I imagine they get going pretty fast. [:p]

I love the back tires. That had to hurt.

Truthfully, I don't think it was a very well run event. There were huge pauses with no explanation, I could never find a schedule, and I only saw 12 or 13 Rhinos race. The races were 2min 30sec lap times and only 3 laps. They ran a short course, not the full MK or any of the desert sections. Hours of waiting for two 8 min races. It really needs to be a club event with points implications to draw a decent crowd. Hopefully this event will grow in the future.

I thought it was a pretty cool event - first time event, so I expected it to be a learning process.....I know the people running the event ran their butts off, and I have to say "thanks" to Jeff for treating me well, and showing me where i could take pics and making sure I didn't get kicked out of anywhere......

As for the track length....for rhinos, I think it's perfect. You don't understand...when you have longer tracks with rhinos, just so much more wear and tear on them....the infield was perfect, too - not too many crazy jumps (like the Rhino Nats'!), but enough to be fun....the outfield was cool....long straights...good turns....too much dust, though.

I would have enjoyed that course very much.....I hope they do another one, and run the same course...becuase my rhino would do really well out there.

I hear it was a drunkfest Fri and Sat night, though - that's something I can do without......uncontrolled pits are always a good way for someone to get hurt.

All in all - I hope they do it again.... :) Practice makes perfect!

We ended up not going. Decided the gas and money to drive from AJ to Lake Pleasant would be better spent (and less) driving to Desert Wells and hanging out there for the day riding.
