View Full Version : Trailers with bi-fold gates
Does anyone know where to find these in arizona? I am only finding them at deer valley trailers. Has anyone seen them anywhere else?
Is there any pro or cons to that type of gate?
We sold our quads and want to down size the trailer for just the rhino. If we went to a 10 ft trailer with the folding gate, we are hoping the rhino would still fit with the cooler rack. Otherwise we might have to back it onto the trailer.

I've seen very few trailers like what I think you're talking about. My trailer has a split rear gate, and it is a pain in the butt. I would say back it in.
I've been searching the internet, the next closest I am seeing anything on them is in places in texas. A friend just bought one from dv last month. I really like the lowered gate. So if we are going to get one, we will probably go to dv.
Below is the link to the one I found at dv. They come in other sizes. But, I wonder why there are not many of them around....

If anybody has anymore info about them, please let me know. Thanks.
If you find a good welder they should be able to make it a bi-fold w/no problem. The guy who teaches the atv safety course in SV did this to his trailer and said it really cuts down on the wind resistance when driving, which now equates to saving money with the cost of gas. I just had a side and rear ramp put on my 16' car hauler and I feel a lot safer driving down the road with them on. I've been thinking about having the rear ramp cut and changed to a bi-fold. Good luck.
No doubt about the wind resistance. We noticed the mpg difference hauling an empty trail to california vs the return trip with the bikes on it to help break up the wind.
The gate also cheese grated a bat on one of our trips on the freeway at night.
Do trailers have titles to them?
I don't remember getting one with the trailer we bought originally. Now that we are selling it, do we need to track down our title copy or do you just do a sold notice with dmv?

There is a title. I'm sure the new owner will want it.
You should have a title for the trailer. If not I'm sure the DMV should be able to square you away. In SV there is a title company that does everything the DMV can do with out all the long lines and BS. I think there was a $10 fee but I would rather spend the ten bucks instead of waiting at the DMV for 1-2hours. Good luck.
