I have the same hunt but in October, and an archery antelope hunt in New Mexico next month and an archery elk hunt here in November. I am going to be very busy and broke.

My brother and I got drawn for unit 21, that means I get to go archery deer, rifle deer and rifle cow elk hunting this year. Good luck on the drawing to those that have not checked thiers yet.

Wow...looks like the secret is to put in for about 4 or 5 different hunts, then you get drawn for all of them.
One, that's all I was asking for...just one.

If you really do your homework there is really no reason why anyone can't get drawn for deer if you don't mind hunting Coues deer which is my favorite by the way.
The deer draw started in 1973 and I have only not drawn a tag one time. Knock on wood. There are tags left over. Unit 36A has both October and November tags available and if anyone draws that I would not mind giving out a little helpful information.

People seem to think its a bit more difficult hunting the whitetails.... i just think its more of a challenge

I get to do both hunt whitetail and dunes for Halloween...BUT my whitetail hunt:) means I miss new years at the dunes....:(

36B early whitetail hunt. I love hunting down there. Three seasons ago I shot one that grossed 115. After deductions he only made 89, but he sure is a pretty thing.
Well me, my dad, and my mom got skunked! 14 bns pts for sheep for me!
But my three younger sisters (ages 17, 14, 12) all drew the late december muzzleloader mule deer in 16A (juniors). Going to be a neat hunt! I've missed a nice 4x5 up there 2 years ago!!

I leave in the morning for 9 days to New Mexico for the first of my three big game hunts this fall, archery antelope. :)
No TV, no computer, and best of all no people. :D
