We arrived at our destination just north of I-8 and west of Ogilby Road on Thursday and Friday of last week. It seemed that we had people coming and going all week long. We averaged two long rides a day spending all of our riding time between Test Hill and the Drags st Gordon's Well on the south and Patton Valley and Patton HIll to the north. The wind kept the dunes pretty smooth until about Tuesday. After that it was hard to find any smooth dunes left. We did find some soft smooth dunes just southwest of the east entrance into Patton Valley. The drags were good just like always. Lots of people brought out their Sand Limos. On Thursday about noon a sand rail rolled on the side of Patton Hill. Driver wasn't hurt but his rail was beat up pretty good. Our group did surprisingly well with regards to accidents. One girl rider rolled her fathers YZF450 two different times but she was fine. I finally went over the handle bars of my Raptor and it ran over me, thank goodness for helmets. I hope everybody had as good a time at the dunes as we had. Pictures and movies to follow soon.
