Here are a couple of pics from my Antelope hunt with my brother. He got his buck (about 13") on Sunday from a distance of a whopping 22 yards. I had my chances on both Saturday when I missed two shots at this buck and one that we guessed at about 17"...both from about 50 yards. On Saturday when my brother got this one, I passed him up at 30 yards hoping that the big one, which was hovering out at about 60 yards, would come closer. Well, he didn't, and so after passing up a couple of other legal, but small bucks on Monday, I once again came home empty handed. I have promised myself that next time I get drawn I will be prepared to shoot 50 yards with confidence. We had a blast, saw lots of antelope, deer, snakes, etc....and I can't wait to do this again!

Nice buck. The country looks pretty flat and barren. If your brother wants to have it officially scored and entered into the record books send me a PM. Hard to say but it looks like a 70" buck.

Thanks Griz. I'll ask him. He is getting his buck mounted even if it is not a "record" because it is his first antelope AND his first bow kill. As you probably know, the taxidermists all seem to take about 9 months...so it will be a while. Thanks again for the offer...and we MAY take you up on it at some point.

It has to "dry" for 60 days at room temperature. The taxidermist doesn't need it until he is ready to attach the cape.
