I was told about a trail from the Bartlet area to Four Peaks. The trail is supposed to have several hard hill climbs.
Has anyone heard of it?

You can probably still get from Bartlett to the bridge at Sycamore Creek along Bush Highway south of Sunflower. There is also a road that goes from the bridge east and south from Sycamore Creek along the west side Boulder Mountain but I don't think it ties into the Four Peaks Road.

You might want to check a map to see how close the Mataztal(sp?) Wilderness is to your trail. Also, crossing the Verde River is difficult and even more so now that it's a designated "wild and scenic river". Good luck.
