Arizona Griz

And on the seventh day I finally found what I have been pursuing this January, javelinas. I had hunted the past two weekends and had not even seen one let alone being able to sneak in for a shot.
Saturday I tried it one more time. Since javelinas usually don't get up very early I wasn't in any hurry getting to my destination since the morning low was around 28 degrees. I checked out my first glassing spot around 9 o'clock and as usual didn't see anything. I decided to check another around noon and low and behold I finally glassed one up at about 1/2 mile. I grabbed the bow and pack and off I went. What I thought was one ended up being 3 at first. They were feeding down a bank heading to a wash. I was able to sneak up to about 30 yards and two shots later it was all over. Come to find out there were about 8 of them on the wash bank. I played with the call a little bit but that only put them into high gear. I was able to grunt one back though and it came up to about 20 yards from me.
