I'm looking at a Bushmaster AR15 A3M4LE so need some comments pro or con. It's in 223 cal and would be used for target and those pesky varmits that are keeping the fawn populations down. Thanks
Its a nice piece.I have bushmaster varminter for those pests you're talking about, and a DPMS AP4 for plinking and pig hunting. The Bushmaster doesn't like wolf ammo, but the DPMS will eat it up.

IMO Bushmaster is the best AR you can get I say go for it and have a blast. My M4 handles wolf ammo fine, Rhino I think the varminter is a little bit more picky on ammo. Thats probably why it is more accurate.

My own AR15 is a Bushmaster, and the M4 (full auto) I carry at work is a Bushmaster. Over 10K rounds throught the work one and only one malfunction due to a bad magazine. They are great firearms.

I agree with most everything above. My M4 handles wolf ammo just fine, but for varmiting I would recomend a longer barrel than the M4 comes with. Makes it a bit more accurate as the M4 is more of a tactical weapon than a varmit shooter. (My 2 cents)

Remington is coming out, or recently came out with an AR15 type that is getting some good press already, the R15. Available in the .204 or .223...

Check out this website. http://www.dpmsinc.com/
I know a lot of officers who own these rifles and they have had no problems with them. They also seem to be more reasonably priced than Bushmaster. They have about 5 different calibers in AR-15 as well.

Hi Doug,
I sure like mine. I've got an older Bushmaster heavy barrel. I too have thought about picking up a flat top M4. Cant say I have ever hunted with mine but I sure like the quality. See ya on the 27th.

get the rifle you want 16 inch or 24 inch vermint...then you can always buy different upper.
Check out Ameetec in Gilbert for an upper at a good price.
If you are going to do a lot of verminting...why not shoot something hotter and flatter than 223?
I have the Ameetec. I have had it for a year and love it. I found out later that I could have got the DPMS for less. I like the fact that you can get different calibers with them. You can make a hot varmint rifle.
They're fine, but i would get rid of the carrying handle and put a scope right where the handle is. The scopes mounted on the handle dont tend to be very accurate. Other than that, great gun. I'll stick to my 260 rem from dpms:D
