Itsa Thursday mid-week adventure.
Will meet in Wickenburg.
Ride through the Hassyampa Box Canyon and go on to Fool's Cyn.
I expect Fooll ta be postin' up directions, meet time etc, here directly.
I tell ya, the more I explore Wickenburg the betta I like it.
Whole lotta turf 'round there and some damn nice desert ta boot!

From I-17 and Anthem take Hwy #74, Lake Pleasant exit (Carefree?)
Go North on Hwy #60 to Wickenburg.
Then Hwy #93 toward Vegas.
Before you get entirely out of Wickenburg Woody's Chevron will be on the right.

Z, I would say 40+ miles.. All depending what we find out there.
So you better strap some gas to the bumper.
I also made a canister for a geocach I'd like to hide if we get into Fools canyon. It's a 3" tube about 11" long if anyone wants to add to it.

Hey Fooll,
I'm thinkin' of just a very laid back beebop around and enjoy the sights kinda ride. Sound good? Mighty purty countryside. Too easy missed ta miss some purty cool stuff. How many times did ya ride by them big ol' trees?
I'd say everybody pack a lunch and be prepared for weather. So far the forecast is partly cloudy but who the heck knows...

'Kay I just glanced at the topo.
Gesstimating, it looks to be about 25-30 mi from the Box to the Fool then back.
50-60 miles possibly.

Everytime I go I ride by the trees but never really stopped.
I'm hopeing the water is running deeper to that would be cool.
a Bee Bop ride is what I was hopeing for. There's lots of stop and go scenery. I do know where the enterance is to the canyon it's about 20 miles from the staging area thru a small mining developement.

nativeaz, appreciate the offer.... I keep forgetting that I have upgraded to that four gallon tank from the measling two gallon came stock. I should do okey, a 4 gallon tank normally gets me around 52-55 miles so as long as we are not like full throttle the whole way.
desertracer, if you need help with fuel, I am sure things can be worked out....

What would be an estimated time to be back to the staging area? i would love to go, but have to be to I-10 and Elliot by 6:00.

Not smugglin' enough ta get us though the Wilderness Area Boundry couple miles down the cyn, unfortunately.
Amazing numder of tracks marchin' right on though. I guess that big ol' wash was just too much for them ta resist. Like there weren't but a zillion other miles of wash ta explore. Ain't that somethin'?
