My son, shot a beautiful colored fox in Nov 06. I searched around for a taxidermist to do a full body mount. There was a taxidermist located in Chandler, R & R Taxidermy. After a phone call to them, I thought, they seem OK & their prices were fair, so I dropped the little critter off. They said I could expect to have it back to me by Oct 07. So much for that.

October 07 came & went, no call from R&R. I called them in mid- November. They promised it to me by early December 07. I called them about Dec 15th, 07. They said they were busy skinning more animals that came in, so they were behind. They said it would be in mid- January at the very latest.

Well, here we are early Feb 08 & no mount. When I call them, I get the BS, my partner does the foxes, please call back later. Today, I said, NO! would someone please call me back with a legitimate explanation. Guess what, no call today.

If this isn't resolved by tomorrow, I will be filing papers in small claims court on Monday. At this point, I don't even want the mount. I just want my $205 down payment I gave up in Oct 06. They took all the fun out of having an animal mounted.

OK, you say, there are two sides to every story, well from my side, I paid the 1/2 deposit required & received nothing. I have never received one phone call from R & R Taxidermy, telling my of any delays. When I call them, I'm lied to ( 5 times) I am the owner of a small business so I know unforeseen things happen. When they do, I call the customer and explain. Something R & R Taxidermy doesn't know how to do.

I would highly suggest that you do not support R & R Taxidermy, located in Chandler, AZ. Please take you business to someone else, you couldn't do any worse.

Jeff, I would also report him to the BBB.

Mounts take about a year and I would accept the delays to a certain point but not the BS lies.

You are doing the right thing.

Jeff, if you need a good guy, let me know. I personal know the guy and i could give you a pretty good deal on it. Hes off of the 101 by FLW in Scottsdale and has done all of my animals.

Good thing the fox was dead when you dropped it off...

...otherwise it would be a gray fox by now :D

Maybe they just like his comedy and don't want him to leave the shop!
