FYI - The "single track elite" have been whining and crying about how the "KWAD Community" (they won't claim us as their own unless they need our numbers) does not do anything to help clean riding areas or support trail preservation efforts. Yeah yeah...I know their quad claims are complete BS! But can I suggest we use our numbers to completely blow these self-righteous, narrow minded types out of the park? Let's show up in mass at the Table Mesa Clean up! Who's in? Clean-ups are also a lot of fun guys! And this area is prime ATV trail territory that you definitely will want to explore and help preserve. There is a catered lunch, and you will meet dozens of new riding buddies too! I plan to be there! Who else?

I even saw one post on one of their sacred websites about how they'd like to enlist the Sierra Club's help in getting ATV's banned from Arizona Trails. (Not very well thought out...and a lousy joke if that was the true intent)

Screw that... I'll bring some of my rifles and the kwadders and bikers can take turns shooting beer cans off the tops of each others heads. [:p]
Jeff, I can understand you wanting to stir the pot to get people motivated to come out and help, but please don't throw gas on the fire. [}:)] The topic on another website which you referenced was tinged with sarcasm. After that comment was made, it was followed by "it's moronic to even joke about it".
The whole point is to get people to consider how much good we could accomplish if we could get more OHV people involved. Quads and UTVs far outnumber bikes...the numbers are staggering and growing. We need to figure out how to get these people involved. Those of us on two wheels can complain all we want about "others" but the numbers can't be ignored. I think we would simply like to see the relative percentages more balanced when it comes to volunteer efforts and monetary support (AZOHVC). I for one would be estatic to see the ATV and UTV crowd trounce the bike crowd in not only volunteer efforts but donations, as well. Given the number of ATV and UTV owners, it should be a piece of cake.
The best way to mend fences is to get us all working together. :)

Trish,
I question the individuals sarcasm with his reference to enlisting help from s.c., and I was the one who called it moronic. I noticed no one else agreed with him, nor did they shoot down such a stupid suggestion.
But you are right! My only intention was to get people fired up to attend the cleanup. It was all in fun, but I went a little far. I've edited my post and removed the inferior reference. I hope when all is done, we all see it as something we accomplished together. I just hope the ATV guys don't embarass me with a small turn out. So far the only ones responding are you "narrow minded elitist types". I keed, I keed! [:p]

Of course i would get them in there. Hopefully there will be space to name each individual club too.
