Just want to see what the favorite brand of equipment or preference.... compound or re curve do you use. I prefer my small but effective 1983 50# Browning re curve (aka the deer slayer).

Yes, I still use the old aluminum standard arrow with Bear 100 gr. broadheads. Oldies but goodies;)

I shoot a 1993 Darton Lightning compound with 60% let-off using 2413 X7's set at 76 pounds. It shoots these arrows (435 grains) around 302 ft./sec. [:p] It is an oldie but it sure shoots fast. ;)

I shoot a Matthews Switchback. But, not as much as I would like. A great setup.

I'm a die hard re curve fan. My boys and I have a huge reject cotton bale in the back yard that gets stuck quite a few times a week. I refuse to get sights and all the frilly compound stuff. I bought a Bear #50 compound back in 1985 and hated it, my wife got it tricked out for her though.;) I kill a deer every fall just to keep my man card current! My oldest boy Silas is a dead eye shot and frequently kills rabbits. Aim small, miss small.[:p]

I shoot a Martin Cougar 2000 @ 78#. My choice was limited, because I have a 34" draw. The only manufacturers that made one was Martin, and PSE Custom.

The Martin is very fast, at that draw length:D, quiet, and comfortable...Why change;)

I shoot Easton 2712 X-7 Eclipse arrows (telephone poles) with Muzzy 125gr 3 blade broadheads.

It's a great combination for a person that can scratch their ankles while standing up:D:D

Hoyt X-Tec, Blackhawk Vapor carbons with 125 gr. Thunderheads. I don't remember the chronie numbers but like the way it shoots @65lbs. Fast and quiet:D

Older Hoyt ProVantage 65# 28" with Maverick carbons and some cool mechanical broadheads that I don't remember the brand. Got it with all the goodies already attached, cost next to nothing at Play It Again - sales guy had no idea what to charge for it. Be nice to shoot an elk someday with it.[8D]

I hear ya on the draw length thing. They don't make shirt sleeves long enough!:( Inmates at the prison call me silver-back for a reason! Don't ya hate being a knuckle dragger?[}:)]

Left hand Martin Cougar Elite for me. Used to shoot 2413 xx75s with two blade and bleeder Zwickys.
Those had punch at 34" long. Now I shoot Carbons with a release aid. They are faster, but lack the heavy hit of a 680 grain arrow.
CVRAPTOR: nice to see another south paw Archer.

yea, being a lefty has its drawbacks, many bows don't come in left handed, but then again leftys are the only ones in their right minds [8D]

Matthews Black Max. It was responsible for a nice 5 x 5 for Sept 2007.

PSE Mach Flite IV, 80#, 30 inch with overdraw...about '82 or so. I think it is now time to modernize my equipment.
