View Full Version : Dunes, here I come!
I'm finally making my first trip to the dunes this weekend! After hearing there is nothing else like it,I can't wait to get there. Hope to run into-not literally- some Ra riders out there. Going to Buttercup. I will report how it went.

My first dune trip was a blast!! We ended up going to Ogilby instead of Buttercup. We rode out to Patton Hill. Getting there was fun, but the hill was even better. If the weather is not too warm in April, we are going to try and go again. Needless to say I am hooked now.

After you start Dunin -- it's all over for anything else[8D] Next it's paddles - stripping all the extra guards off - making everything on the bike lighter - cleaner -- Then, then comes the
"I want more power" -- It's over after that ----- garage full of ATV's & bikes just for sand duning....One for every situation :D
Oh yeah, and big stacks of OEM rim / knobbies wondering were the heck am I gonna put all this crap......But it's good crap..;)
Welcome to the Sand World...:) Don't worry - you never get all that sand out of everything - so live with it.[:p]

the sand is addicting. my friend went out for the first time over news years and we got back from our the dunes yesterday. he is totally hooked. But usually its the i want power first and then shedding weight. i already want a 440 kit or a honda 450 just because of the dunes.
