Going to ride out of Laughlin for three days the first weekend in March. Can anyone help me with some good riding area tips around this area? Looking for stuff between Bullhead and Kingman, general Laughlin area, or between Laughlin and Searchlight. Prefer good trails and washes, with connections to highways for gas, etc. We are dualsported, challenging trails are not a problem!!

Thanks,

Glenn

If you ride up from laughlin towards highway 95 you'll see a gravel pit on the south side of the road. It's a few miles up out of town, on the nevada side. There are miles of hardcore to mellow single/dual track and buggy washes. If you head towards Searchlight, keep going past Searchlight until you see Highway 165 (I think, it might be 167) but it's the road to Nelson. Take that road east towards the river, go a few miles, look for the high tension power lines, take the service road south. You'll go through a canyon for a mile and come out in the staging area. It will be obvious, with monster hill climbs. Most trails are to the south but you'll find that you can't ride them all even in three or four days. Expect anything from sand washes to gravel with monster whoops, to the most hardcore technical single track on earth. This area is known as the Nelson hills. Good for bikes, quads, dune buggies, jeeps....etc. Best of all, it's free and leagal(for now)[8D]
