View Full Version : Ideal Riding Area
Hey,
I've been to a few areas often enough to want to go somewhere different, and hopefully better. I'm tired of Sycamore, Saguaro and Four Peaks area.
What I am looking for is an ATV area with nice riding, and fairly smooth where you can get speed when you want without beating yourself to death. It would be nice if the area had some jumps and what not to grab a little air when desired.
I'm in the East Valley, but I usually have to travel some distance to get anywhere. I've been looking into areas East down the US60 (towards gold canyon, silly mtn, florence, etc). I have also been looking in the Maricopa area and down the I-17 (black canyon area?). Can someone make some recomendations of the places where I can find this type of riding. I ride a Banshee, so I like to strecth it's legs now and again and hit some jumps along the way. I just can't find much in the way of what I am looking for.
Thanks for the advice!!!
PS- I'm going riding tomorrow, so if anyone has any suggestions before then, or is going riding and maybe wants to meet up with our group, let me know. =)
Thanks in advance!
try going out sun valley parkway (bell rd)past the white tank to mm120 turn right go till you cross canel you will see gravel pit.

It would be quite a drive but Ocotillo wells would be perfect for what you are looking for

I am in the navy currently but own a house in Mesa around stapely and southern so i know what kind of drive it would be for you. but i know at ocotillo wells there are several places that you can stretch those legs on the banshee.

Thanks

From Avondale take I-10 West to Sun Valley Parkway & SVP North to MM120. You'll have to U-turn at median turn lane & go back about a 1/4 mile.

I went out there yesterday to check it out, I was not sure where to turn on Sun Valley Parkway. I saw one turn off with hot pink spray paint on some signs was that it. Also how are the roads? I have a small pickup with ground effects so my ground clearance sucks.

That was the turn. You can make it back & over the canal easy & just stage right there...
