Anybody interested in meeting up for a little track time on quads? I haven't been riding quads long and have my first race on Saturday. So if you're interested in dicing it up a little or just want to come out, give me a shout.
Also, if there is anyone out there that is considering racing, this weekends race might be a good opportunity for you. Due to the number or races going on, the quad races will be held on the Vintage (front) track. This track is much smaller than the regular track with substancially fewer jumps (2 small uphills, 2 decent down hills, and a speed bump;)) and only 2 moderate speed (4th gear for a very short time) semi straight aways.
Oh, and practice is from 8-2 on Thursday.

Jenkins, I was at speedworld today & Dan has changed the track for Sat. He added some whoops, made a couple of step-ups, changed the jumps to doubles & some course changes as well. The track is a lot more technical now but nothing to serious. I'll be there Thurs, since my dad works thursdays I won't be helping him find the impossible like last week. I normaly only ride a YZ450 but I'll bring my raptor to play with since you ride quads. It should be fun to ride with some one for a change.

Aristoman,
That's what I heard, a buddy of mine was there yesterday as well (you might know him, he rides a YZ450F as well and is in the over 40 class, his name is Taylor), anyway he mentioned the changes. Sounds cool though as it will provide more opportunities to pass. Hopefully I'll be able to get my suspension/technique dialed in for those whoops.[xx(] Looking forward to it though.
I'm actually going to be getting rid of my WR and picking up a YZ450F or a YZ250F to get more into MXing as well so I can ride with my son. Just don't know when yet.[?]

Zhvonte, what's the steering damper got to do with it, can't ride without it????
BTW, I spoke with Dan at Speedworld and NO, nerf bars aren't required:D

Jekins, I think I do know Taylor, I met him a few times out there and had a great time. We both ride abought the same speed but I lost track of him. I met him through a friend of his that my son works with at Coka Cola. He might remember me, at the time I had a YZ426 and his friend from prescott was having trouble with his WR250. see ya Thursday

That may be him. He was going to go with me Thursday but looks like he'll have to pass. He hasn't raced for a couple months but will be racing Saturday in the OTMX "Over 40 Amature" and the Vet race as an "Over 40 Intermediate". His words not mine, it's all greek to me.[8)]
See ya Thursday!

I'll be driving a red metalic Ford SD 4X4 with a campershell and a speedworld decal on the front windshield. I hope to be there early but I may have to stop by my shop in the morning to pick up some signs for dan, if so I should still be there by 9:30 or so. I usualy park just inside the main gate but if you want to park by the pee wee track, it will be easier to get to the vintage track & I can still get on the main track from there also. Let me know what works best for you. Also I hope Taylor can make it out, I would like to see him again. If not I will should be there this weekend to watch the races.

jenkins, the way my setup is, the damper, stem, and clamp all coinside as one. Without any one of the three, its unrideable. Dont ask me how or why, I just know if I am missing one of the three, I am a screwed pooch.
