We are looking for a place where we can camp on a lake as well as ride our ATV's. If anyone knows of a place in Arizona like this please let me know. :)

The Aqua Fria arm of Lake Pleasant (when it fills in the spring) offers a ton of riding area and good fishing. Kind of far from A.J. though.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat all day, drinking.

Isn't there some ridin' 'round Bartlett, also?

Oh yeah...tons of riding at Bartlett Lake. I just don't care to fish there unless it's a summer night catfishing thing. But if you just want a lake for the sake of being at a lake...

I would scout it out before attempting to drive your rig into these places. It all depends on what you're willing to drive it over. When you said camp, I was assuming you meant dry camp. I have seen trailers at both Bartlett and the Aqua Fria arm of Pleasant, cannot remember seeing any big rigs. At Pleasant, you'll have to cross the river bed which isn't too bad if the water isn't running full speed. Best bet...scope it first.

You can camp on Bartlett Lake, access is fairly doable...might be a little tight in an RV but as I remember, I saw a few rigs on there. It is clearly posted that you cannot ride your ATV's near the lake. They have a boundary around the lake and it is signed, "no ATV's beyond this point."

There have been a few people that would bring their motorhomes to Alamo along side the banks or w/e. I don't really know what they are called, shore maybe? I havn't done any riding at Alamo, but I have seen peopel ride there. There is plenty of places to get your motorhome along side the lake.
