I was checkin' out the Harquahala Peak area.
Has anyone done this ride? Would it be suitable for the wife and I? Don't want to get into anything to drastic. We're too old for that stuff.[V]

Try a search, I think someone did a post on this. It has been about 25 years since I have been up there. I wouldn't imagine that the road would be to rough. I remember that it was just a short ride from Eagle Eye Blvd. up to the top.

Harquahala Peak Rd is a back country byway maintained by BLM-Phoenix. The observatory at the top is historic dating back to the 1920s when the Smithsonian Institute built it to measure solar radiation. You should be able to negotiate the road with little trouble on your quads.
