We are looking for some new riding experiences in the state and we thought about going to Alamo Lake area since we have a map of the area with trails on it. We like single and dual track trails...similiar to the ones found at Lake Pleasant and Barlett Lake. Can someone tell me what kind of trails are around Alamo Lake and are there a lot of trails to ride all weekend? Also is there a particuliar area where the single tracks can be found?

We like moderate to difficult trails with hill climbs but also like sections that we can go fast.

If Alamo Lake isn't what we are looking for, can you suggest a different place?

thx Mark

There are plenty of trails around Alamo lake, but I don't remember seeing any single tracks. Most of the trails are old mining roads, there are also power line and gas line roads. If you want to go fast Alamo rd is good with some nice straight areas. The area has a lot of mountains.

Was out there this last weekend.
We didn't notice any single-track.
(We're quad riders though, ain't exactly lookin' for it)

Also can't say that we found anything more than mildly moderate.
(But again, maybe we just didn't stumble across it)

Sure had a great time though.
