View Full Version : Sand Drags In Safford late April. Any Info
I heard there was a Sand Drag event coming up in Safford area. Anyone have info?
Yes there is info on it at ATVfanatics. From what i ubderstand they are running classes and lights on a groomed course. At this point i don't know who's all running up there. It was pretty big last year but i don't know of any real big hitter that are going. Most i know are staying away because the organizers won't move the drag to a flat area where the realy big bikes can have shut down area.OH WAIT i know howardstearn will be running with his kenz alcahol (time bomb)i mean rappy sorry rappy guy's that just slipped out NOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! And speedmn should be running his 440 bad boy kenz is a sponsor(He is just such a suportive guy) And i heard of a few bad boy's from stafford will be out??????????

I'll be there to watch and provide eyes and ears for medical support. Your right though this "sand bump" is not for the big boys "no shut down area". It is usually a pretty fun day though. Lots to see!!!!

I know it should be a lot of fun to watch and i hear it usaly draws a good crowd.[8D]

Well coming from someone that lives here in Safford, I can tell ya what everyone says is true. Very little shut down area, and it draws a big crowd for the area. Hacienda does have some info on there web site about the Drags/Poker run. Best thing, there is some natural hot tubs to climb in at the end of the day. If you plan on camping out there, show up early because it does get crowded. Oh ya, there big thing (some environmentlist come up with this one) they want all bikes washed as to not plant some new toxious weed from somewhere else. If anyone have's any questions drop me a line and I will try to answer them for ya. See ya out there!!!
Sounds like a good time..But all i see is drag's and it does say poker run anybody know what's up with that?

Well it went off with out a hitch !! It was a great day kenz brought home the lions share of trophies. In the four stroke classes the organizers did a much better job of setting up the hill for the event. And it was a blast howardstren and speeddm were kenz jockey's there was another rider but i had never met him.like i saids it was a blast it was hard to be on the side lines but i did climb all the hills on my golf cart:D they even had a 4x4 ute class. and the people and crowd were great. YES IT WAS A GOOD DAY !!!![8D]
