I have been looking for a "Dune Directory", (as we will call it), on this site but, have not been able to find such a thing. What I am referring to is a list of all the places within AZ,CA,UT,and CO that have dune riding areas, directions, and maybe even a list of amenities close by. I have read references to the Cinders, Pismo, Hot Wells, and of course Glamis but, have not come across much information nor in a posted centralized location. I know this suggestion sounds like a alot to be asking for but, with the resources that this site has to offer, I think it is very possible. I enjoy using this site very much and it has been a great asset to my offroad adventures! Keep up the good work!

Check out the American Sand Aassocation web site www.americansandassociation.org/This site should answer all your sand questions. While your there join the ASA, it's free, and join the fight to save the dunes.

That is a great idea. Go ahead and give me some ideas as to what information your looking for and maybe a suggestion or two of where we draw the line at as to which Dune locations we list and I'll go right to work on getting that up in te dune section.
Tell me what you want to see and how you want to see it(format).
I'm thinking directions, camp areas, hotels, water stations, dump stations, nearest accesory dealers, nearest fuel stations,
please add to this list.:D

I have added a new section (Dunes) to the Trail Guide specifically for dunes. Now all I need is for the members to start filling it up with dune locations. It will operate just like the Trail Guide of old, just with a new area for the duners. Enjoy.

A little plug for my own site www.dunereview.com
It focuses on Utah, Idaho, Colorado and Wyoming dunes but now that I live in AZ I'll be updating with other areas as I make more trips.

It looks like five (5) dune areas have been added to the Trail Guide already. Please help us out by putting in your favorites.

I can add info on the areas I used to go to a lot. I have GPS coordinates, rules, regs, directions, altitude etc available for them. I'll try to get that done this week time permitting.

Wyoduner, I love your site, but what's going on? I havn't seen any new activity on there (other than forums) in quite a while. My 22 month old son loves the videos section, but there hasn't been any additions in a while. I have lots of friends who would love to show you the dunes around here, and the wife and I want to go to Coral Pink sometime soon. So PM if you want to go.

Did I just pass you, again?

b12jared - life got in the way of my riding and duning. I moved to AZ in January and before that it was travelling to AZ a few times for work and house-hunting, etc then getting settled in down here after. Things are getting back to normal now though. Thanks for the nice comments on the site!!!

Well, for those GPS users out there I have finally put all of my duning waypoints in downloadable formats for National Geographics TOPO!, Garmin MapSource, Street Atlas USA 2004 and EasyGPS. I have Glamis, St. Anthony, Rock Springs WY, Walden CO, Hot Wells and the Cinders.

This is a blast from the past!! Yea Wyoduner have been ridin a few times and will continue to do so!!! I love AZ and cant imagine a better place to live!
Anyhow check out the early inspiration for Wyoduners site
http://www.homestead.com/RadBanshees/start.html
He has some of my early pics, but has obviously taken his duning site to a whole nother level in regards to info, pics and vids.
I truly think Wyoduner has, if not the best, one of the best written reviews of rideable dunes in cyberspace or on paper if you choose to print. Look for GPS coordinates for Queen Valley, Mogedon Rim (sp?) and other high country riding in the near future. Little help here guys!!!

Man those Glamis pics are amazing. I don't know why I keep going to Buttercup. I did not realize there was an ocean, resort, and The Reef club there! :D
