ok, here's the plan

Taking the family up to Verde Valley ohv area on Thursday. Planning on staying until Sunday. Since I cannot find any place close to camp for sure, I am going to camp at Dead Horse State park. Not as convenient as something closer. I have never been there. Has anyone else stayed there? and how is it? Can anyone give me some riding tips for the area? Like the best place to go.

Dead Horse is too far down 260...you'll be trailering your bikes-which is a pain. If I were you, exit I-17 at 260, go left for approximately 3 miles to Cherry Road, take a left on Cherry. Proceed until the pavement ends and you'll find a dispersed camping area right on the Hayfield Draw trail system. This is where we planning to do an RA event but it's not a HUGE area. It's plenty big enough for a few rigs though. PM me if you want more info.
