NEVERENOUGH

Ok here is the deal it is raining in Chino Valley as I type this and we were heading to camp wood this weekend to camp. I would still like to go but the group I am going with wants something not as muddy and cold. Does anyone have any good places to camp around Congress of Wickenburg with some riding. We are tossing the Alamo idea around but where we usually camp is a long rough dirt road and I would rather not. I am also thinking about table mesa but have only camped there once and wasn't to exicited about where we camped so where do you guys stay when you camp there. Any and all help is greatly appreciated thanks.

Check out mm11.5. Good camping and lots of desert to ride in. It is located just west of lake pleasant. RA did a big camp-n-ride there about a month to two months ago. I would tell my friends to toughen up and go to campwood. [:p]Just kidding.[:p]

How big yer group NEVERENOUGH?
Just past and below Vulture Peak on Vulture Mine Rd is a real nice wide spot at the Vulture Peak Trailhead. Saw several rigs camped there. Just across the road is a good many trails, where in fact they run the Wickenberg race (that trail's not hard ta spot, it's the well used one). Real cool area.
If you go into Alamo from Wenden (Hwy #60), it will be longer in mileage, but ya won't have that million miles of beat up dirt road. (may even take less time as yer not travelin' 5 mph)
Too much traffic at Table Mesa. Bumblebee is better.

From the looks of the forcast, your friends may be right about the cold in Camp Wood.
High 40s over night, middle 60s for the highs.
And ya know it's gonna be wet, even if it doesn't rain more.(not that zero dust is a bad thing)
MM 11.5 may be a good idea if you don't mind the drive.
I'd take a trail map though, if you have never been before.

Signal rd was muddy last weekend, but it has been dry this week so you shouldn't have any problems getting to Alamo lake.
