View Full Version : Things moving slowly
Is it just me, or are pages now taking forever to load ?? Just noticed it the last day or two.

It is not just yours.
Mine are popping pretty quick. Can you tell me the section of RA you frequent the most when you experience the slowness?
I go right to "active topics" when I log on and it sometimes takes awhile for it to come up.

I have to refresh the page a few times before it comes up, the time on your server must be off also.

I just updated firefox (3.06) and I don't have a drop down selection on "active topics" menu bar anymore IE still works fine.

Server time is in your profile. Update your profile.

I'm on the same version of Firefox. No issues for me. The drop-down is still there. Not sure what to say about that one.

Sometimes I have to hit the Active Topic tool bar about 10 times to work.
Some pages load in a second or two, some take up to 10 seconds. It doesn't matter what part of RA I am on. It comes and goes. I will even log off and back on just to try to see if will run faster.

Thanks, it must be a problem with scripting on my end. Just found out embedded You tube videos do not work for me either on any web site.

Ditto here, works fine sometimes, and others it takes a while for pages to load. Doesn't seem to be in just one area, in general throughout RA.
Yesterday seemed even slower than this morning.

Sunday was soo slow I couldn't use the site. Today (Monday) seems OK.
I did see an issue early this afternoon but could not track down the source. I am still investigating. Everything on the server and database appears to be normal but I'm still digging.

Can you tell me if you were accessing the site from two different locations?
If you experience slowness, can you post up on this thread the time you experience the slowness?
Today at 1pm was horrible Shannon.
I wanted to check in at lunch real quick, but it was waaaaaaaaayyyyy slow so I left.

That's when I had the issue today...on my lunch. Still sorting through the logs but the server had no load at that time. hmmmmmm.:swear:

Maybe the Server IS a load.......:out::out::out:
Typically my house is much faster than work. House is Cox, work is Qwest. This weekend Cox was waaaaay slow, even slower than the Qwest acct. at work.

I am on my Aircard whenever I'm on the site.
This morning, load time is on a par with the old server. I bit long, but what I've come to expect. It seems random.

I am not buying that. COX at home, Qwest at work. They are both slow. I do not have a problem with other forums I visit from either location.
