How much gas to bring on a trip.

Hi everyone.
This is my first trip out of state with my ATC ever. I have everything ready except for one remaining mystery. How much gas do I need to bring? I will be at glamis for 1 1/2 days.

I know the dunes eats gas alot faster with a 2 stroke and I would really be bummed to run out of gas. I know there is a gas station there, but I'm too cheap to pay thier prices. Could anyone let me know how much pre mixed gas they have brought with them so I can get a ballpark amount.

Right now I have 4 5gallon containers plus the 2.5 tank on the bike. I am guessing maybe adding two more 5 gallon containers. 32.5 gallons should last (I hope). I don't intend on sitting inside a RV, even if it's 1,000,000,000 degrees. I have been waiting 18 years to ride Glamis.

last time I went to Glamis i took 10 gallons for 2 full days of riding
and I came back with some, I would say you have more than enough already for 1.5 days unless your 250r is REALLY bad on gas, have fun and remember it is only hot when you stop and the great thing about the dunes is it doen't hurt as much when you fall. Remember to go over the top of the dunes at an angle because some of them drop straight down on the other side(aka witch's tit) let us know how it goes :)

I have been to Gordon's Well a couple of times with my cr250. I spend as much time at camp as I spend in the dunes. The last time I went it was for 2 days and I had a full tank (2 gal) in the bike and I brought 6 gallons of pre mix. I came back with 2 gallons. You push your bike hard in the dunes so the gas goes faster.

A full tank & ten gallons extra should be enough. Thats what I would bring for my 250R (ATC or Quad). On a side note, bring an extra bottle or two of premix, you never know. :D

Thanks for the replies everyone. I decided to bring 10 gallons plus a full tank and a couple of bottles of oil. If I need more, I guess I could buy some there. I'll be posting tons of pics when I get back. Have a good week.
