me and a buddy of mine will be going out dugas rd. sat.for a fun day of riding and exploring.anyone and everyone is welcome.ive never ridin out that way, so we might get lost.but if you bring extra gas we'll ok.
meet at I-17 and dugas rd. at 9.30 am sat. morn.

I just went out there for the first time a few weeks ago.
Explore the first few turnoffs to the right and you can find some pretty cool creekside camping area's.

When ya get to the river if ya go to the right a bit the trail will end. Do a very short hike and you will be at the hot springs. Neat place!

well teri...
good news, and bad news.
good news first,we did go out and ride sat.
bad news, did not go to dugas..
i ran into a guy at frys getting gas sat. morn. who told me that the sheriffs been out in force weekends at that area giving out 600$ tickets to unlicensed atvs.and since my raptor is not licensed (yet)we decided to go somewhere else.
we still had a fun day,rode for 63 miles, up poland juct.to mt. union,davis-dunkirk mine, had lunch on mavrick mountain,then down 667 to 94c ,through the big wash that i dont know the name,then back up 82a to 82 and back .wow that was a mouth full.
i took some pics,but they are too big and im still trying to learn how to shrink them.

You stumbled upon my all time favorite day ride. Too bad you decided to go elsewhere. Not having a tag was a good reason to go some where else. I ride a dual sport so I am legal. I am very familiar with Dugas Rd. I usually end up at Verde Hot Springs for a relaxing dip. If you have never been there, be forwarned that a swimming suit may or may not be worn by those folks you may meet there. Once I've taken my dip in the hot spring and if time permits, there is a way to go south up over the Verde Rim and through Bloody Basin and then through Seven Springs on out to Cave Creek and then back to the big city. I love this ride but have always had to do it it alone. I'd like to get together with anybody interested in this butt busting ride.
