Anyone have a guy or shop they can recommend to do the rebuild on my front dana 60? I have the parts, and the limited slip to go in it, just need the labor. Axle will be removed and dropped off. As always, cheaper is better, but I also dont want to wait over a week for it.

Fly-N-Hi is the one place I always recommend (I am bias since I use to work there), and since you have all the parts, it should only be about 2-3 hours labor. I would do it for you, but I am with out a press and wouldn't be able to get to it for about 2 - 3 weeks.

Im not in a hurry at all as truck rolls just fine as-is...lol. If your lookin to make a few bucks over a weekend let me know. Pinion bearing is crap, carrier bearings and gears "should" be OK, and needs seals in the tubes.

Changing tie rod ends and wheel bearings/spindles is as far as Im going on axles

Talk to Randy or Russ at (480) 649-6229. Very Good, very reasonable.

I would have to track down a press to be able to do the job, and I am in south Chandler. Give he guys at Fly-N-Hi a call and see what they will charge you.

Looks like the quotes around $350 labor. Didnt get ahold of Fly-in-hi (seems they dont like to answer the phone), that was desert rat.

You have it rebuilt yet? 4wheelers did mine. Happy with work and price. (sorry for late reply if this is already done)

Finally got this done last week at a local Desert Rat. $350 labor, and a screw-up on their part was quickly acknowledged and the job was done twice. I cant say anything bad because they fixed the mistake for free and so far no leaks or weird noises.

So now that the 4x4 actually works and the front has a limited slip, kinda tempted to do some wheelin' soon. Anyone wanna go?

Where? I have been wanting to test out the 4x4 in the new truck, but don't want to go anywhere crazy and beat the sh!t out of the body.
