My XR is in need of repairs and I have gone to the dark side of retard chariot racing lately so , I just bought the quick silver carburetor and a new set of DS shoes for the pig so I might have to bring her out of retirement get her Emissioned, tagged and insured , when are you guys thinking about a ride?

Hey, bbj, you know a real dualsport bike weighs 800 lbs, is aircooled and made by Honda, right?

Is that with you and Dexter sitting on it

What is your definition of Dual Sport?

Dual sport: a bike competent for riding roads and singletrack but doesn't excel either place. See XR, CRF, XL, WR, DRZ, and various other models, including, unfortunately, whatever lame reKTMs that happen to show. (see BBJs bike.)

Those "lame" KTM 300's are pretty sweet bikes ! I just might have to have one one of these days.

I got the chance to ride the 300 XC I think that was the model, at the track & was very impressed. Very smooth throttle & nice suspension -bone stock. Very quiet also.
Don't care for the looks to much, but liked the bike a lot.

Taunt me, newbie, and have no worries. When you have progressed beyond staying on state routes for your dualsport rides, I'll consider going on a ride you lead. Do not go on one I lead until BBJ tells you you're up to it. Unless you have a Spot and sign a waIver. And that yer not spotting and you sign a waiver for that as well.

You got nothing to worry about, I'm old enough to be yer pappy, my bike is 17 years old and weighs 3/4 ton. Only way it could be worse is if I drove a golf cart.

So are you remembering every time you stop on yer bike to put a foot down?

bbj tells me i can do anything you can do i can do better but just fall over more. hes old enough to be my pappy too but he wasn't done experimenting till he hit his 30's. I dont spot anymore..i had a tune up so i dont drip any oil. My bike is 21 years old and weighs 300 pounds...

Im still having a problem remembering to put my foot down, some times i get confused on which one to put down.

Well if the trails are going to be that difficult for 2 wheels ill just bring my rzr and help you carry the kitchen sink and have a seat for you to sit down when your out of breath. Maybe we can cut the ride short....i hope you tivo'd golden girls...

Last week, left Surprise, to Constellation Road, Blue Tank Road, Rincon Road, Scenic Loop road and up to Stanton, and up to Yarnell and down on the black top. I have not dont that ride in years, some changes......

Great ride.

BTW, what two sports does a "Dual Sport" cover?
