Is there a item specific list of "gear" needed for the dunes? Looking forward to my first trip this fall and most likely will be camping out of the back of my truck.......

Specifically what type of gear are you asking about? Riding (protective) gear for the rider or gear (items) needed for your atv? This might help us give you better answers to your questions.

I would like ideas on both gear for the bike (paddle tires, ect.) and protective gear (have basics helmet,goggles,gloves) I already have all the camping equipment that i need to stay a weekend or a week.

There are a lot of sand tires on the market, straight, V, and multiple V. The fronts can be bald, one rib or two rib. I personally like the Sand Stars for the front and rear. As for personal gear maybe some riding pants (I use riding shorts under the riding pants), arm and chest protectors, and a kidney belt.
