Where do I put the camelback if I have a number plate on the back of the chest protector???

this water pack I got is design specifically to be hooked to chest protector, as it has no straps, just eyelets to tie-wrap to the chest protector.

Only thing I can think of is putting it in front of the chest protector (think it would look funny), but I wasn't sure how many other people do this.

ok this is what i'd do, get 30 inches of fuel line, and at least 4 18 inch zip ties. Cut 4 6" long pieces of the fuel line, run a zip tie through the hole in the number plate, and the fuel line, and the chest protector, with the fuel line between the chest protector and the number plate, and pull the zip tie tight. do this with the other three corners. This should work temporarily until you can come up with something better. Maybe there is a way to fix the number plate onto the camelback somehow?

Is there a reason the camelback can't be worn underneath the chest protector instead of on top of it? PhxMan and I have always worn our Camelbacks under our chest protectors. I understand you said that your new system doesn't have shoulder straps, but can it be flipped around and tied to the inside of the back of your chest protector? Just a thought.

i was thinking the same thing but he wanted me to tell him how to put the number plate over the camelback ;) and he also told me it's 6 inchs thick, so that's why i said 6" fuel lines. This is how jeff henson told me to do it :D

you know, it cant be that bad, we wear camelbacks under our rucksacks (field packs) all the time and they are the high volume type. just get some 550 cord and use that to attach under the plates. i bet the plates wil work just fine either way.

yeah, i cant fit the camelback underneath the chest protector cuz the its a tight fit... I like the idea of taking some gas hose and doing it that way.... I hope though it doesnt feel too back heavy...
