Isn't Halloween at the Dunes one of those "special" dune events (big crowds) like Thanksgiving? I always thought it was considered the "kick off" of dune season.
A friend is trying to talk me into going for Halloween, but we're not "hard core" duners. I prefer to go out on "off" weekends, when the crowds are smaller so I can putt around on my utility quad.

Its a big weekend. Just go to Ogilby or Buttercup less idiots.

It will be a little crowded but nothing like Thanksgiving. Like Lucky said, visit Ogilby or Buttecup, there won't be as many people.

Yeah Halloween is a fairly busy weekend at Glamis. I'm not a big fan of the dunes to the south....I say load up yer utility quad and go to Glamis. If you want to avoid the crowd but still enjoy the bigger better Glamis dunes just camp farther into the washes. The farther you go south (into the washes) the less peeps and freaks there will be.
