The BLM has a great map of the area west of Lake Pleasant, north of Carefree Highway. The map is called the "Lake Pleasant/Hieroglyphic Mountains" area. I think it costs somewhere around $4 but don't quote me on that.

Good luck...Trish

Sodbuster, Go to the Arizona Public Lands office/store at 222 N. Central (downtown Phoenix, just across the street from the tall BankOne bldg), they have lots of good maps with trail marking and all. If a area has trails and there marked out they'll have a map of. Most maps are $4.00, they also carry lots of books with OHV areas listed in detail. RICH

It is actually called the PLIC...Public Land Information Center. Office hours are 9a-5p. They have a link in our links directory. Joanna Scruggs runs the place.

Another good place to check is the Wide World of Maps. Their website is www.maps4u.com and they carry almost everything the PLIC does.

Wide World of Maps has a good selection of TOPO maps. The Mesa store is located near Southern and Longmore.

Also, we've gotten several from our local Game and Fish. Power and University.

I want to thank you guys for the info on the PLIC office. They were unbelievably helpful, spending at least 20 minutes with me one on one. My wife and I are just getting into quads, buying two last week. Learning where to go and what you need to do to be legal is quite a task without the help you guys offer here.

Thanks, and we'll see you on the trails.
