We've got the Arizona Trail Riders' Desert Mountain Qualifier on the same weekend(Sunday, March 16) at Lake Pleasant. If you didn't do their race in November you missed out. It is one of the most fun formats I have ever raced. Also, if you've never done an Trail Riders' event be prepared to be challenged. Although, the Qualifier format allows a little more leniency in the fitness department than usual. Try it, I know you'll like it.

Hey Nick,
Did you go run the WORCS race in Havasu? I just got back from Custom Cycle-ATV in Mesa. They were rebuilding my shocks. Kirk Schreier showed me some of his pics from that race. His quad must have weighed an extra hundred pounds from all the mud. The track looked like soup. It sounded like racers stood a good chance of winning if they were on a stock 4 stroke with an enclosed air box. Give us a report if you raced it! :D

Kirk said he could set up my suspension for me. We race each other in the pro class with Whiplash. He rebuilt and revalved all 3 shocks for me in a week. TCS would have taken at least a month and charged me twice as much. That makes the drive worth it. :D

ahhh you're running tcs? how do you like them? I was planning on going with tcs but have been talked into PEP, which i can get for about 60 less than retail.

My TCS shocks are not the newer style with the 5/8 shafts and Elka style caps, but they work well for me. TCS was started by a guy that worked for Wayne at PEP. I believe they are the same shock. I doubt I would notice a diffence between the two. I do like them better than Works shocks though. Both good shocks, go with whoever is cheaper.

AXIS are good shocks but you pay quite a bit more. I've found that most of the top pro ATV racers consider Ohlins to be the best shock. There is also a new shock maker out called Motowoz. Their shocks are based on the King shocks you will find on most Trophy Trucks. Here's a link-

Paul- Go with PEP. The owner, Wayne Mooridian, has been building shocks as long or longer than anyone else. You won't go wrong with them. Are you having them setup for MX?
