View Full Version : Warranty work if bought out of state....
To you guys who bought (or are thinking) of buying out of state...
Who handles your warranty work? I would think local dealers would put you at the bottom of the list for service. Has anyone had problems getting service?
The dealer is getting paid by the mfgr. for any warranty work, makes no difference to them where you bought it.

I bought my Weekend Warrior out of state because it was cheaper and have yet to have any warranty work done on it. If any comes up I will check around with the RV outfits around town to see which ones team up with WW and go there. Like Joe said, they shouldn't care where you bought it.

For the record, there is no top of the list with RV dealers, even if you did buy from them. I bought my unit here in town from a large reputable dealer and I still have to make an appointment about 4 weeks in advance, drop off the unit, and pray I get it back in under two weeks. This is for warranty or paid services. Service in the RV dealership is lacking in my eyes.

We dealt with RV Renovators for a rear door spring replacement. No problems at all everything handled professionally and quickly. This was very simple work, not sure about other stuff, but I would use them again in the future.

I had to set an appointment 3 weeks in advance for a water heater issue. I took it in last Friday and they fixed it the same day. Picked it up on Monday.
I'll find out in a few weeks if it works the way it's suppose to.
