I just came across this and thought it was a really good idea. :D Fleetwood will probably price it out of the market. :( $6000-7000 and they'd sell everyone they can make. My guess is it will be $10,000 + [}:)]

Doesn't look like two utes would fit. I guess people with light duty pickups is the market they're after (and maybe only one ATV).

I've seen a homemade job done the same way. Didn't look as tasteful as this one, but I'm sure it cost a LOT less $$$!

Another variation of an old theme. A few years ago I saw a flatbed trailer with a tent trailer, with the tires and wheels removed, mounted to it.

I always thought this was kinda neat:

www.kemptons.com Smaller scale but can take 1 quad or 2 bikes. Theres also one without a front rack.

saw these at the AZ sand show in December, where the tent trailer was underneath a metal floor, that quads sat on top of. Only handled two quads though!

I've got something very similar. It's a 6X12 trailer...then I throw my tent on it. Now thats "Hill Billy":D

No, "Hill Billy" would be just throwing out the sleeping bags on the trailer. :D Been there and done that. :)

That top trailer must be using shorter beds than the normal Coleman Fleetwood makes. My old tent trailer had the 2 King beds and was like 9' wide so wouldn't work. Those must be full size beds to handle. I actually thought about doing this with my old Tent trailer but size wouldn't work, so I bought a new toyhauler.

You also are only going to have a 20 gal tank of water or so. It is cool though. Dig the graphics.

Think you would only get 2 quads on there and I have seen pics of a regular tent trailer with 2 quads on top of the preimier line of Coleman. The ones with the lifetime warranty on the roof.

I saw a trailer like that back in 2002 while shopping for a toyhauler. It was very funny looking. The front part had a single fold out tent bed, but the inside was EXTREMELY small and pretty much useless for the $7000 price tag and your toys are still stored out in the weather. Just didn't seem worth it.

While it's something I would buy, I could see this being a lot better than having to tent it.

I saw one at Payless on east Bell road for $17999 about $5000 less than I paid for my toyhauler loaded including pump station and generator.

Holy Crap, I would only pay $4k for that thing. Prices are crazy for toyhaulers. I've enver seen one on the road, I wonder if they are selling well.

~laughing~ David and I have the monster trailer and we have been tossing this idea around for months. We have a good friend with a 3 time used tent trailer that has a bathroom & shower for $3500.00. We'd be in the deal for 5,000.00 including the cost of our quad trailer.

Nice concept but there is too much behind the axles. If you wanted to go without the quads[?][?]you would have to add a lot of weight to the front cargo deck.

That tail is just waiting to wag the dog.

2 550 pound utility quads isn't enough? :D

azotto

Yep. 2 550 lb. quads sure would do it but I posted

That thing goes against every design principle you can find on trailer design and construction. It would have been smarter and more appealing if they had placed the living quarters on the front of the frame with the deck behind. According to thier brochure, it barely makes the 10% tongue weight rule empty.

We saw one of those at a dealer, we went in it and it sure was small and "shakey" It felt off balance to me. I dont like the idea of the tent part to sleep in either.

Looks to me like they are using the water/sewage tanks up front as a counter balance or something, not sure I would want to rely on that weight always being there.

For the price of one of these you'd be better off going with a Carson Funrunner. They are very basic but cheaper in price.I think they would make a good starter trailer.
