Hello all,

I have a couple of quads (Bombardier DS650 and Lakota 300). Looking to rent a Uhaul and atv\dirtbike.

Can anyone tell me best places to go? I live in Gilbert, want somewhere close, somewhere I can get a uhaul.

Anyone know of rental place for dirtbike\atv?

I want somewhere that will have good scenery that I wont get lost in. Was thinking 4 peaks or coke ovens. Any reccomendations.

Thanks,

Jim

There was a recent post about ATV/Bike rentals in your area.
I'll see if I can find it.

Coke Ovens/Box Canyon/Martinez Ranch would be very scenic.

Avoid Queen Valley.. it's going to be very hectic this weekend. You won't enjoy all the Poker Run Riders blowing by.

Matazels is a nice area, too.

I would have to suggest, if the riders are experience enough, the Crown King ride in the Northwest valley above Lake Pleasant. It is about a 2-3 hour trail ride (accessible by 4x4 cars). The views are great going up to the city of Crown King for lunch and gas. If you are looking for a trail ride, this is the best. For just desert riding / playing around. Try out on Ironwood Rd. south of the 60 on the west side near ET motopark.

Thanks everyone for your responses.

We decided to go to the Coke ovens via the "easy ride" south side (Florence Junction) area. Anything we need to know about the area other than whats in the guide?

Thanks again and I will let you know how it turns out.

Jim,

If you are going this weekend, be aware that the Country Thunder show is in the area this weekend. Should not really impact it, but I don't know what road closures they have in effect for the weekend.

Also, I have heard that the river crossing was kind of high lately, so be careful there as well.

Have Fun,

the river is pushing about 160 cubic feet per second right now. height varies but where you will be crossing it will likely be about 24-30 inches if you go through the right spot.

C'mon out to the poker run. You'll have a blast and the loop will be arrowed so you won't get lost. This event will take you through some incredible scenery and up into the pine trees for some cooler temps.

Just an update:

We made it out there and had an absolute blast. It wasn't really crowded and we looped around between the staging area and the river. Helped a 4x4 truck get unstuck, never crossed the river and just tooled around for most of the day.

Thanks to all who replied. The direction in the guide were right on.

I can't wait to go out again.

Thanks,
