Sorry, but I have another dune question....

I'm trying to get some perspective on dune locations. Is Midway camp area on the western side of the dunes? I know Ogilby is on the eastern side, and the cul-de-sac at Buttercup is a little further west. If you go past the cul-de-sac (on the south side of I-8) and continue to Miday, how much further is it?

Also, I remember a rest stop in the dunes from driving to San Diego. Is this where water is available for the toy hauler? Can you get back on I-8 heading back towards Ogilby from there?

Bee Bob, Midway is accessed much the same way as going to buttercup cul-de-sac. You wil exit at Greys Well and follow it around to stop sign. From this point you can either go east of the stop sign to Cul-De Sac or go west towards Midway and Plank road. Midway is about 1.5 miles up the road on the left hand side of the road. You can continue past midway down a pretty good hill about another mile and a halve to another spot called Plank Rd. All of the dune riding on the south side of I-8 is great riding.

And yes there is water available at the Buttercup rest area. You can fill up and head back to Grey's well exit or Ogilby.
