I was at Gordon's Well on President's weekend. I saw at least a dozen Class C motorhomes there that were rentals.
Have any of you ever rented a Class C motorhome?
I wonder what the total cost for say a three day weekend is.
I checked into it a few years ago but the extra charges kept adding up and I never tried it.
That's why I was was wondering if any of you have rented one and can give me an idea of the total cost.
Thanks
Paul,
My wife and I rented five or six times before we bought our Class A. We rented from Cuise America in Mesa every time. It's been so long ago I cannot remember the cost but I believe it was about $400 for a weekender and that was a special. The good news is you can play with Cruise America's reservation system online and get a price yourself. You can do it here:

I rented a 23' years ago and it was $85 per day. Once returned CLEAN, we got out $500 Security and $250 Cleaning deposits back......But it was only $300 total for 3 days. But it was CA, don't know if that makes a difference and like I said, it was years ago. So i'm sure the prices have gone up.
Plus, It was a small Class C, but it was nice.

I have also used Cruise America and had no problems and fair rates...[8D]
If the Cruise America thing doesn't work out try a consignment type place. The rates are cheaper and not as many after the fact fees. This where I've rented from before. http://www.messnerrv.im-ltd.com/ . It's in Tolleson, AZ.

I agree with shane1, ive rented from messner and they have better rates and rv's and more flexible with the time.
they are also nice people.
That's some good info Shane........Do you know if they "let" you tow with their RV's.....Just for future reference.
Thanks,

Thanks,
I'm not sure if I asked or not. But we towed with the ones we've had.

That IS[^] good info. It is quite a drive for me to pick it up but it sounds like it is worth it. I like the fact there is no generator usage charge. I rented a trailer from another dealer once and the extra charges killed me (cha-ching cha-ching)
I too wonder about the towing.

I'm sure there may be a consignment type place close to you. Call Messner and ask them....they are really nice peeps. As far as the towing goes...I thought about it and asked some friends with whom I rented the RV. We remmebered specifically asking for a RV with a receiver. I did have to provide my own ball, hitch and plug (just used the one off my truck.)
